Mountain Bike Crash Leads to Head Injury

PRESS RELEASE
On 19 May at 0745 hours, Gallatin County Sheriff’s deputies, Search and Rescue personnel, Fort Ellis Fire, Hyalite Fire, AMR and Reach Air responded to a back country rescue on the Triple Tree Trail. A 25 year old Bozeman female was reported to have crashed her mountain bike on the downhill portion of the triple tree loop while riding with a friend. The victim sustained a significant head injury which necessitated a ground evacuation to awaiting air transport provided by Reach Air.

The Sheriff would like to thank the residents of Triple Tree for their support to the rescue operation and remind everyone as we go into the summer months to wear your protective gear, travel with a friend and always bring emergency supplies when you go into the backcountry; despite how close you may be to town.
