West Durston Fatal 9-17-11
(Bozeman) – A 29 year old Gallatin County resident was killed this morning in a single vehicle crash West of Bozeman.
According to the Gallatin County Sheriff/Coroner’s Office Northwestern Energy workers were called to a downed power line on the 3200 block of West Durston at approximately 3:00 this morning. They found that a car had crashed and downed a power line on the south side of the road.
A Sheriffs Deputy called to the scene located Mr. Pelpiers body approximately 100 yards from the crash.
According to Gallatin County Deputy Coroner Kristine Larsen, Mr. Pelpier was ejected from the vehicle and suffered blunt force trauma to his head during the crash.
Larsen says blood samples were taken from the victim and will be sent to the State Crime Lab for analysis.
Inquiries as to the cause of the crash should be made to the Montana Highway Patrol, the agency responsible for the crash investigation.
