Pre-evacuation warning for upper Tom Miner Basin lifted

A recent coordination between the Park County Sheriff’s Office, Paradise Valley Fire, Custer and Gallatin National Forests and the Type 2 Incident Management Team in command of the Miner Paradise Complex, the decision has been made to rescind the pre-evacuation order for Upper Tom Miner Basin effective at 8 a.m. Tuesday, August 27.

Forest closures, Stage 1 fire restrictions and the Park County burn ban will remain in place until further notice.

The forest is working to lift the closure in upper Tom Miner basin as soon as possible. Further information will be announced as the closure is lifted.
