Sheriff’s Office Purchases AED’s

This month, the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office purchased twenty-eight automatic external defibrillation (AED) devices.  The PhysioControl LifePak CR+ AED’s were paid for from the jail revenue fund.  Additionally, the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office secured the donation of two AED’s from the St. Vincent’s Hospital grant and one from Gallatin Heart Rescue.

With the addition of these tools, every Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Vehicle will be equipped with an AED.  The AED’s are the same model used by American Medical Response, Bozeman Fire Department, Bozeman Deaconess Hospital, Central Valley Fire Department, and Bozeman Police Department.  As a result, the tools used by the Sheriff’s Office will integrate with our partners in surrounding agencies, allowing for better quality care and service.

The Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office hopes that by providing our deputies with these life-saving skills and equipment, we will be better able to help our community members during emergencies.
